1 Month

I cannot believe Aria is already 1 month old! Time really does fly especially since I want to hold on to her little “baby-ness” as long as I possibly can! Luckily she was a little baby and has continued to stay that way so I’ll be able to enjoy her baby moments for a little while longer! At 1 month she weighs 7 Pounds 13 Ounces which is still smaller than Addi was the day she was born!  I was worried when I took her in for her 2 week appointment because she had gone from 6 Pounds 14 Ounces to 6 Pounds 10 Ounces and wasn’t gaining very fast (which is new to me). The Dr likes them to be back up to birth weight by 2 weeks and so he had me go in for an extra “weigh in” to see where her progress was and luckily she has made some! She is starting to become more alert and stay awake a little longer but for the most part she LOVES her sleep. She sleeps probably 21-22 Hours out of the day just stays awake for a while after bath time and during feedings – but she’s a pro at eating while she sleeps too! She’s the messiest eater I have ever seen at least 1/2 of an ounce runs down her face during every eating although she has gotten better she’s still messy.

Addi loves to hold her, sing to her, walk around with her and bug her while she’s sleeping…  She is so sweet she likes to feed her, help give her baths and even changes her every once in a while! (No I don’t ask…) Kambri loves to hold her and kiss her but the second she cries she is shoving her right back at you saying “She’s crying here!” Jake loves taking naps with her (ha ha) so I’m always finding them snoozing on the couch together. Me? Well she’s just my little buddy we do laundry together, watch TV together, work together & eat together.  I hate getting up at 2:30 AM but seeing her cute little smiles and her excited faces are well worth it!

Pictures in the Park

Shari won a photography session by my good friend Jess (who takes all of our pictures) and so we all met up at the park to get pictures done with the kids. We got a big group photo and then some sweet photos of Aria & Tristan and a couple of cute ones of Kambri & Kaylee just for fun since our kids are so close in age! After we got done shooting with Jess we decided to let the kids play at the park since they were just dying to do so having it within arm’s reach. I snapped some pictures of them just goofing around and got some seriously cute ones that I just love! After sorting through about 150 pictures these are the ones I loved the most!

Soccer

Soccer season has begun again J and I am really excited this year! I know I always say that but I’ve got a great group of girls and it is really getting fun watching aggressive games as opposed to the “learning” games before. This will most likely be my last year of coaching Addi and it is bittersweet – she was sad when she asked me if I was going to coach her again next year and I said probably not. Makes me feel good that she actually enjoys having me as her coach though! Their team name is Green Lightning and Addi was so excited when she found out 2 of her very best friends were on her team, Mylee & Aspyn. AYSO has done something a little different this year and when we registered they will be playing both fall & spring soccer which I absolutely love (all though it will probably interfere a little bit with dance competition season!) We’ve played 2 games so far and Addi has scored 1 goal in each game I’m hoping she pushes herself and becomes even more aggressive than she already is (although it’s going to hurt my wallet at $1 a goal!) We’ve been having a blast so far and I’m excited to see how far these girls will go!

Newborn Pictures

Jess came out a few weeks ago to do Aria's newborn pictures and they turned out great! She is definitely as photogenic as the rest of the girls are. :) It was THE HOTTEST day of the month I swear - really it was only like 85 degrees but with 50% humidity it felt like 120! We were all hot, sticky and the girls by the end of the photo shoot were super cranky but Jess captured the best moments and we have some gorgeous pictures of our baby girl. Addi & Kambri fought over who got to hold her the entire time Jess was there and then when we had both of them hold her they fought over who got to hold her head and who held her butt. :) These girls absolutely love their baby sister more than anything - we are so blessed! I am going to schedule family pictures in the next couple of months because honestly the family pictures that we did take didn't turn out because of some "attitude" that presented itself among the children.... But this is what I get for always scheduling family pictures in June/July it's just too hot! Anyways, I will let you get to checking out these sweet pictures of Little Miss Aria - I'm behind on posting can't believe she will be a month old already on Sunday!

Pioneer Day!

We spent the 24th in New Harmony again this year after watching the parade in Cedar. We love their small town celebration that they have and we’ve been so lucky to be invited back again! The kids absolutely love their games and fun things they have planned, the food is awesome and it’s great to spend time with family.  They did the “Bunny Catch” again this year and Addi actually caught one this year. Kambri cried and cried because she wanted to catch one so bad but the other kids were just faster than she was. Well, Justin caught a bunny as well but Shari & Matt didn’t want to take it home so he was sweet and gave Kambri his bunny! So now we have 2 bunnies – Marshmallow & Cloud… I’m not 100% sure what to think about it yet but it is really fun for the kids to have some sort of animals around the house since we don’t have any others! J They also did the shoe race – they take off their shoes and someone takes them down the arena in a wheelbarrow and dumps them. The kids then run down and put on their own shoes and run back to the finish line. Addi got 3rd place and won a big Hershey’s candy bar (which she LOVED), she also chased a goat and got a ribbon off of it which won her another candy bar (Kam helped her eat that one..) They also had the greased pig – which the kids loved to chase and had fun catching (our kids didn’t participate because Kam was still soooooo upset over her not catching a bunny). After the bunny race we headed home the girls were hot and tired but we all had so much fun!
