Spring Cleaning

Well we have made a few changes around the house in preparation for Baby A to come. We decided I needed a bigger vehicle - because the kids while they would have fit, would have been VERY squished in the back. So we just decided to start looking around not really set on buying anything right now - and we ran across this Yukon. It was an awesome deal an '07 with only 40K miles on it - It had cloth interior which was the only thing I didn't love about it so the dealership had leather installed for me and after waiting for a couple of weeks we took it home! It is nice to have so much room and the kids absolutely LOVE it :) we are very pleased with our purchase and I'm excited to take it to California when we go in June.

Addi had her bed replaced a while back because she had just outgrown hers - but I haven't taken any pictures of it because she didn't have matching bedding. Haha I know silly - but we finally found her this horse bedding that she just loves so much and it turned out really cute!

Kambri also got a new bed because Baby A will get her crib - it was much more cost effective to get her a new bed than the baby a new crib because we already had a twin mattress from Addi's old bed. She too went with horse bedding and it turned out super cute - she doesn't sleep in her big girl bed ALL the time yet but she loves to sleep in it most of the time. And I haven't had any problems with her getting out in the middle of the night she goes right to sleep and just yells if she needs anything.

Crazy to think that in just a few short months Baby A will be here and we couldn't be more excited! :)

Kam's Birthday (Round 2)

We had Kam's birthday party on Saturday and let me tell you this little girl was SPOILED!! She loves bowling it's one of her most favorite things to do now, so we all met up at the bowling alley and all of the kids went bowling. We put the little kids on one lane with the ramp and the older kids (and my dad :) ) on another lane with the bumpers. The kids all had a blast the first game but 2 games was too many (lesson learned)! The kids all went and played video games and rode the horse machines while the adults finished all of their games. Afterwards we headed over to our house for food, cake & presents. She was spoiled by Grandma & Grandpa who got her buckets, a shovel, a rake and video games for her new Innotab. We got her the Innotab and accessories - she got movies, clothes and a gift card from Martha & Randy. Jessie & her family got her a ton of princess stuff (coloring book, flashlight, jewlery & stickers) and Aunt Shari & Uncle Matt got her a dreamlight! Uncle Beau & Aunt Lauren got her a Bryer horse and her face below was priceless when she opened it. There is nothing that little girl loves more than horses! :) All in all I'd say she had an awesome birthday and was so happy spending time with her family & friends - thanks everyone who was able to come it was a blast!

Kam's Birthday Party (Round 1)

We had a small birthday party with just our family on Kam's actual birthday. We got her an ice cream cake and let her open her present from her sister. She LOVES birthday's and loves thinking it's her birthday EVERY day. :) Addi picked out a cute Minnie Mouse tour bus and a horse that when you pet it's back it walks. She has been playing with them non-stop since she got them last week. We have had so much fun celebrating Kam's birthday pretty much every day for the last 5 days :) and she of course loves being the center of attention. I really cannot believe that my baby is 3 - time sure does fly with 2 kids and they sure don't stay little for long!

Dixie Spectacular

This past weekend Addi had her annual Dixie Spectacular competition. This is the qualifier for Nationals - these girls did so AWESOME and they end up taking 1st place EVERY year! This year was no exception they took 1st place for both of their dances and we will be going to Nationals in May! I was very impressed at how far these girls have ccome and how well they performed :) good job girls we are all so proud of you!

Kambri Turns 3!

3 years ago today I gave birth to a spunky, sweet little fireball. She sure makes life fun, interesting and full of adventure. This little girl loves horses, dirt, junk food, movies, drives, grandma & grandpa, cousins & above all her big sister. She is now 3'9" wears a 4T, talks like a teenager and is VERY independent. She starts soccer next month and will be starting dance this summer & preschool in the fall. I cannot believe how fast time has gone for this little beauty - she never ceases to amaze me with her wit, humor and her temper. She can make anyone laugh and lights up the entire room with her gigantic personality - she has a way of making people love her no matter who they are, how old they are or where we are, she has a love of people and it reflects in the amount of friends she has made in her short 3 years of life.

We love you Kam keep that strong willed spirit and independence forever - you are going to go far in life!

Surprise!!

Well yesterday was THE day - the long awaited, re-scheduled ultrasound finally came. The Ultrasound tech (whose name was ironically Callie...) asked me if we were going to find out the gender today. I told her that at my last ultrasound Dr Sanders had told me that he was 90% certain it was a boy, but I wanted her to double check to make sure before I went crazy buying things. Well after a few minutes of trying to get the baby to cooperate and uncross it's legs, she asked me "How much have you bought for this baby boy?" I said not a lot and I kept tags on everything and the receipts just in case. She said well good because it is not in fact a boy.... it's looking very much like a beautiful little girl! What is funny is no one in the room besides Addi was shocked by this revelation. Addi immediately started to cry which in turn made me cry.... she wanted a baby brother so bad. While I know she will love her little sister just the same it was devastating to her to have thought for the last 5 weeks that it was a boy and it turned out to be a girl. We are all still VERY excited and even after Dr Sanders told me it was a boy I wasn't thoroughly convinced. We had a girls name picked out before a boys' and we thought it was a girl all along.

The main thing is she is happy and healthy - she has 2 hands, 2 feet, a working brain, heart & bladder. She is the right size and we are going to be so excited to welcome her into the world this coming July.

The pictures didn't turn out so great so I am going to get a 3D/4D ultrasound done possibly this weekend because we didn't even get a good profile shot of her. :)
