He's finally here and he came right on his due date! Shari was so sweet to ask me to be a part of her special day. Since I will never be able to have a natural delivery on my own and have only seen natural deliveries on T.V. Shari was sweet enough to think of me to experience the miracle of life with her! I was so blessed & honored to be there with her to bring baby Tristan into this world. And let me tell you I was nothing short of in awe of Shari and how amazing she did. She delivered basically a 9 pound baby with no medication what so ever... she is seriously one tough momma! There was no screaming, crying etc. going on she was so calm and he came so quick it was insane to me - way to go Shari you are truly incredible!

The girls have absolutely love holding him and talking about him and now that are even MORE excited for the arrival of their little sister. Kam keeps poking my stomach and saying "Baby A come today momma?" Tristan is such a beautiful baby and it certainly makes it more exciting having another one Baby A & Tristan are going to be best friends!

Congrats Matt & Shari he's the perfect addition to our family!

Santa Monica Beach

The last day we were in California we went to Santa Monica Beach. It was overcast, windy and not very warm which was kind of a bummer, but despite all of that the kids had so much fun. Kam & Kaylee only liked the water for a little bit but preferred playing in the sand on the beach. Addi & Jadyn spent pretty much the entire time in the water and dug up some pretty unique looking "crab bugs" for lack of a better word. (They claim they found a new species of crab! :) ) Thank heavens for Jake and my dad they took the kids down in the ocean and let them play I'm too big of a wuss and even getting my feet wet taking pictures was a little too cold for me. If they wouldn't have been there... let's just say the kids' ocean swim would've been very short lived!

After we got done spending a couple of hours on the beach we walked over to the pier to wash the kids off and eat an early dinner before taking the drive back to the motel where we were staying that not in Ontario. We walked all the way to the end of the pier saw some people fishing and checked out the boats in the ocean - although there weren't many it's funny what we consider mild winds scares people on the oceanside like no other. We're used to 90 MPH wind gusts and I really didn't think it was THAT windy there haha. After we walked the pier and checked everything out we ate at Bubba Gump's for dinner and then headed on what we thought would be a fairly short trek back to the motel. It was only 50 Miles from the beach... but took us at least 3 hours to get there INSANE!! We're not used to that kind of traffic at all. Around here 50 miles takes you at most 40 minutes! :) Once we got back to the motel we took the kids for a swim in the coldest pool I have ever been in and then called it a night.

We had so much fun in California it was just too bad that it came and went soooooo fast!!!

Disneyland

I didn't realize that the majority of the pictures I took at Disneyland were mostly with my phone because I was able to ride on all of the rides except for a couple. So some of these are not the best photo's! We decided not to run all over the park this year and just hit all the rides in every land that we could. So we started in Tomorrowland - we all rode the rocket ships then headed to Buzz Lightyear (Kam LOVES this one of course). We got Fast Passes to Star Tours while we went to Autotopia and let the kids drive cars. (Hopefully they are all better drivers in real life than they were there because Addi was terrible!!) I was worried Kam wouldn't like Star Tours but it ended up being one of her favorite rides and she laughed through most of it. She wasn't a huge fan of the Nemo ride when we got into the dark she said "ok we can go back now" but for the most part she was very brave on all of the rides. Jakayla & Jadyn headed off on their own to ride some of the bigger rides while we conquered as many kiddie rides as we could moving from land to land. My dad and Addi waited in line so they could go on the Madderhorn which she loved but Jake, my dad & Addi had way more fun on Splash Mountain & Indian Jones! Everyone's favorite ride was Pirates' of the Carribean of course - I haven't found anyone that doesn't love that ride. After we got done at Pirates' and took the kids on the Jungle Cruise we found ourselves a bench on Main Street and held down the fort for a couple of hours until the fireworks' started. Addi had been begging me to watch the fireworks every single night since we arrived and the 2 kids that were the most excited to watch them fell asleep in anticipation! Kam & Addi were both out like lights about 20 minutes before they started and neither one of them budged when they started going off. :) We had so much fun it was kind of sad we didn't even get 1/4 of the rides done we wanted to.

California Adventure

On Tuesday we walked across the street from our Motel to Disneyland. We decided since Addi was performing in California Adventure and we only had a 2 Day Hopper pass that we would spend all of Tuesday in California Adventure and all of Wednesday in Disneyland. We spent most of the morning in Bugs' Land (of course) and the kids all had so much fun. Afterwards we headed over to Cars' Land to check out all of the new rides and things they have done there. Let me tell you what they have done with the place is AMAZING!! I loved how they created the mountains and honestly they look so real it reminds me of Utah for sure. Everyone went on the Lightning McQueen racecars except me & Kaylee (I am pregnant & Kaylee is too short!) so Kaylee and I went through all of the gift shops and ate gigantic Ice Cream's. We rode the Tractor ride together and then hung out waiting for everyone to get off the ride so we could go watch Addi dance. All of the girls danced very well and it is always a lot of fun watching them perform. After we got done we headed to do the Ariel ride and Toy Story of course because that's Kam's favorite! The big kids went on the California Screamer (or whatever it's called) roller coaster while we waited in line for Toy Story they caught back up with us before we got on the ride so it worked out perfectly. Turns out the roller coaster was Addi's favorite ride! After we got done it was almost time for the park to close so we found seats on the pier and watched the World of Color - we had a not so great view but it was still fun to see and sing a long with all of the movies that we have come to love so much!

Knott's Berry Farm

On Monday we went to Knott's Berry Farm - Addi performed mid-day here and the kids spent pretty much the whole time in Snoopy Camp. :) We found out very quickly that Kam does NOT like any Character that wears a mask.... as she punched Linus in the face. Hahaha poor kid was petrified of ALL of the character's... hopefully she will grow out of that by the next time we go. Jake took the older kids to go on the bigger rides and after Jadyn & Addi wussed out on a few of them he took Jakayla and they went on all of the fun roller coasters that they have there. (Don't worry I was REALLY jealous!) Luckily it was overcast the entire time we were there so it wasn't so hot that being there pregnant was absolutely unbearable. The kids had a lot of fun going on the same rides over & over and Addi danced VERY well - we are so proud of her and how far she has come. All in all it was a great day and we created some great memories there!
