3 Months

Aria is 3 months old - I know I always say this.... but I just can't believe it!

At 3 months she weighs 10 Pounds 13 Ounces

She has been to the Dr twice in the last week due to some sort of virus she has contracted - poor thing has been coughing up a storm and is having a hard time keeping anything down. She hasn't gained any weight in a week and we had to get a few tests done to make sure she doesn't have anything that is actually treatable. But other than that she is doing great! She smiles a lot, she's trying to reach for things, and straightens her back like she wants to sit up. Definitely not as wobbly as she was before - she still loves to cuddle and prefers someone to hold her while she sleeps.

She has been sleeping through the night for at least a month now - only occasionally wakes up once just depending on what kind of a day she had. She goes to bed at 8:30 and gets up between 7 & 8... I am definitely not going to complain! She absolutely loves her sisters and hanging out with her daddy.

I just love this little girl!!

Fall Festival/Octoberfest

Addi and Kam both performed in the Fall Festival in Parowan this year. We always have such fun at their little festival - with the old fashioned fair games, booths and cars it's always a good time for everyone. This was Kam's very first performance - she was a little timid at first but had a lot of fun and did so great for her 1st little show! She did 2 dances - I'm a Little Teapot and A Pumpkin is A Pumpkin. She loves her ballet costume and feels like a princess in it so she was more excited to show that off than anything ha ha. After Kam performed Addi clogged to both of her camp dances - Cotton Eyed Joe & Call Me Maybe, she of course did excellent and her clogging has come such a long way.

After we got done with performances we drove down to New Harmony for the Apple Festival. They do a fund raiser for their local fire department by hosting the Apple Festival every year. Unfortunately it fell on the same day as the Fall Festival this year so it was kind of a pain - but we worked it out and enjoyed the best of both worlds. We had dinner at the fire station and the kids played in the bounce houses while we browsed the craft tents. Addi was a claim jumper and got to sift rocks in the water and find pretty gemstones. (Any of you that know Addi know she's a rock collector... big time!) So this was a lot of fun for her.

Cheer Camp

Addi had cheer camp all last week and had an absolute blast. They only do cheer camp once a year so she always gets really excited when they have it because it's one of her favorite things to do. She got to cheer in the football game on Friday night - and since it was breast cancer awareness month they had special cancer awareness t-shirts and pom-poms made up that were bright pink. She had a lot of fun and did awesome in her dance routine - I wish I could've filmed more of it but only got a small clip she was way excited to show off her back-bend skills!

After the football game my dad stopped by to show off his massive bull elk that he shot - we were all so excited for him! Addi had fun standing in between the rack and Kam would not go ANYWHERE near it because his tongue was hanging out.

Target Practice

We finally got around to heading up the mountain and going shooting... I was excited I had 3 new guns that I had never shot and was glad to finally get to try them out! We sighted in my new rifle and absolutely love it - it's loud but amazingly accurate I hit the bullseye every shot. I also tried out both of my new pistols - a 357 Sig that my grandpa gave me and a Glock that Jake got me for Christmas. The kids had fun shooting Addi's BB gun and the .22 Jake's grandma passed down to them. We love shooting guns :) pretty soon Aria will be out there with the rest of them!

Hunting Season

On the last day of the muzzleloader deer hunt Jake decided to take the kids road hunting with him. Well by the time he had a chance to go I was just barely getting off of work so we decided to make it a family adventure and all of us would go. On the way up Jake decided he would shoot anything that had horns so the whole family could be there and the girls could get a taste of hunting for the first time ever. Addi has been road hunting a lot and Kam has been a few times but they've never actually seen anything other then does on their trips. We were really excited when we had 30 minutes left until dark and that buck ran right out in front of us. It was nothing big by any means but had a decent sized body and we needed to fill the tag. Kam was hollering in the back of the track "Shoot it!!!" so Jake decided to take the shot. The girls watched Jake take care of the deer and Addi even held his leg for part of the process. It was a lot of fun having the whole family there and I haven't been on a hunt where anything was actually killed in a long time so it was really exciting for me. :)
