My Addi Is Hilarious!!

Ok this happened last week I've just been to tired to post anything - and this is just too funny not to post. So I was working and Addi was playing in her room. I heard her come into the room behind me and turned around to see what she was doing I turned around to see her giant "Bumble Bear" (It's a round bear that makes a funny noise when you step on it or roll on it - got it for her after her first birthday she loved laying on it) strapped to her butt. Instead of it being like a backpack and the bear being faced AWAY from her the bears face was in her butt. And the thing she decided to strap it with - my back brace from when I was pregnant with her. I'm pretty sure this was the funniest thing I had seen ALL DAY! She kills me with the things that she does - oh and of course she had to come out with no pants - keeping anything on the lower extremities of my child is quite the challenge! Anyways here are the pictures - enjoy!

What A Week!

Well here I am again with another update! Last Wednesday I called my Dr's office because I didn't have an appointment until this coming Friday and I had a couple of questions. As most of you know I've been battling morning sickness since day 1 with this pregnancy... and it's never gone away. Well I hit another road block I've had heartburn EXTREMELY bad I have been not eating anything after 3 PM in hopes to not get sick or have heartburn wake me up in my sleep. (This was all done in vain because it never worked...) I would wake up in the middle of the night with extreme heartburn and absolutely NOTHING helped. I started taking Prevacid (the highest over the counter medication for heartburn that's safe for pregnancy) almost 2 months ago. It takes 48 hours to work fully and it takes a while to leave your system but it works 24 hours a day..... well this didn't work for me. After a couple of weeks I was taking a Prevacid in the morning to get through the day... a Pepcid AC in the afternoon to have a little short term relief and about 5 or 6 rolaids to get me to go to sleep. Well the acid has been so bad that if I'm not completely propped up while I'm sleeping it comes back up and I end up choking on it in my sleep... as you can imagine that's scary and not anything normal. Well anyways, I called my Dr's office because I have not been able to take my iron pills - I'm supposed to be taking 2 pills a day to get my iron leveled back out it's been so low - but I haven't been able to keep anything down between the acid and morning sickness so I haven't been able to take an iron pill in over 3 months now. So instead of suffering for the 2 and 1/2 weeks until my Dr's appointment I called the nurse's station to ask them if there was anyway to get relief and get Kambri more nutrients because I knew she wasn't getting what she needed. Well they wanted to up my dosage of Zofran to get my morning sickness under control - problem is I'm already on the highest dosage of Zofran and it stopped working months ago. (For those of you who don't know that is an anti-nausea medication that makes it so nothing comes back up). When they heard that they said come in to Labor & Delivery we want to monitor you! I of course got emotional I didn't want to go there and didn't want them to find anything wrong but I've also been so exhausted I just want relief somewhere. When I got there my blood pressure was high - as well as my pulse so they opted to monitor me for a while. They ran some blood work and took a urine sample to rule out Pre-Eclampsia (thank heavens I didn't have that although I had all the symptoms). They pumped me full of fluids to rehydrate me so that I didn't go into pre-term labor and what not and they sent me home - but Dr Sanders said he wanted to see me the next day. So I went into his office the next day and let me tell you it was so nice to have someone be that sympathetic towards me! (Outside of my family of course :) ) So he gave me prescription strength Zantac and I've been taking that twice a day - he told me that if it wasn't helping by Tuesday there was something more wrong than he could take care of and he would want me to go see a specialist. He also ordered me an Ultrasound on my Gallbladder because it sounded like I had Gallstones. So on Friday I went in had some more blood work and had an Ultrasound done. Well I had another appointment with Dr Sanders yesterday - he had the Ultrasound results back and it was not what we thought. There is nothing wrong with my Gallbladder that they could see - there wasn't any Gallstones. In away I was really discouraged - while I didn't want to have to have my Gallbladder removed I was just hoping for some answers - which would've at least put my mind to rest. Well he referred me to a specialist for what they call GERD (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease) I am hoping it is just a temporary thing that they pregnancy has flared up. So I am now on the GERD diet - strictly fruits, vegetables and meat. Slim to no Dairy products - and absolutely no Fat. Basically my body right now is not processing Fatty Acids the way it should which is causing all of the extra acid to not be digested and removed properly. So for the next 6 weeks I'll be on this special diet and if it continues after the baby is born I will go see a specialist. I decided to hold off on seeing him because 1. I will be PISSED if I go to a Dr and pay him a whole bunch of money to have him tell me that I'm pregnant (NO DUH!) 2. My Dr said that I have to be EXTREMELY aggressive with them in order for them not to write me off that it's just my pregnancy. My Dr said the baby is on the healthy side and she is getting everything that she needs so I know that if I can just hold out (as much as the suffering is unbearable most days) until she's delivered hopefully it will be cleared up and I won't have to suffer anymore. Isn't it funny how kid's can cause so much havoc on your body? I'm hoping the next 5 Weeks and 6 Days (I'm not counting down) goes by SO fast I don't know where the time went instead of as SLOW as they've seemed the past month!

Valentine's Day or Christmas?

Ok so I know it's not Valentine's Day yet.... but I had one excited little girl on my hands and just could NOT say no today! :) When Trevor walked outside this morning he found a box on our doorstep addressed to little miss Addi. Then when he got the mail he found a card addressed to little miss Addi, and while Addi was at her dad's this weekend Trevor & I got her a little Valentine's gift bag (I told Trevor about it after I did it lol). So it was pretty much like Christmas morning this morning when she woke up she got to open 3 presents and was SOOO excited! She got so much stuff - thanks Mom & Gramma for sending the thoughtful gifts & cards I appreciate it as much as she does. Nothing makes me happier than to see her little face light up in pure excitement! Anyways here are the pictures I took this morning!

Hopefully It Works!

I took a shelf painted it and Mod Podge the letters on. (Cute scrapbooking paper... and my Cricut) Added some key hooks and put them on and here is the end result! I found this basket at Roberts' to put sunglasses in,  It is a really cute Moose Lodge General Store basket that has some cute sayings and is the perfect size for sunglasses. I'm hoping they will turn out to be space savers and good reminders so nothing gets lost... we will see if nothing else it was a good idea!

New Crib

Well my wonderful husband did something sooooo nice for me this weekend! :) He put together Kambri's crib! It turned out so cute and I am so happy that I picked the one that I did... it is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! I'm excited to get the dresser and get her room totally put together (I'll take more pictures then). Anyways, I found this bedding and fell in love with it - and even though I found some others that were REALLY cute this one was the cutest! I picked it up a couple of months ago in Provo and am excited to see it out of the bag! :) I would like to give a special thanks to my mom and dad for helping us get the crib! I love it and it is a wonderful gift Kambri will be able to enjoy for years to come! :)
