They had Red Ribbon Week at Addi's school this week and she LOVED it! Tuesday was Pajama Day, Wednesday was Crazy Hair Day, Thursday was All Red Day & Friday was Pink Shirt and Jeans Day (For Breast Cancer). She tells me everyday now that she wishes everday was pajama day at school that was by far her favorite thing. They had the Halloween carnival at her school last night and they were so ORGANIZED! I am used to everything being in the gym and you waiting in line FOREVER to do anything and having to shove through crowds so you could participate in whatever was going on. Well Parowan did it alot differently they had one station in every classroom and then a few different things in the gym. They had Bingo, The Fishing Pond, Ring Toss, Unlock the Chain, Pop the Balloons, Roll the Dice etc. She won lots of little prizes, and a couple of big ones. :) She is Rapunzel this year for Halloween, of course it's the only thing she wanted to be - she really, REALLY wanted the long braided blonde wig. She didn't keep it on very long but she loved pretending to be a princess and everyone loved her costume!

Pumpkin Cookies & Carving
Lauren came up after we got done at Staheli Farms and had dinner with us and watched the crazy kids make Pumpkin cookies. Kam mostly ate the frosting and used all of the sprinkles so Addi couldn't have any. And Addi blobbed her icing on and piled the candies all over the place - they had a little too much fun doing this. :) Sunday after Jake got home from hunting the kids painted and carved pumpkins. I bought them paints and glitter this year so they could do one of each - Kam got a Pumpkin Pie pumpkin to paint (She told EVERYONE in Wal-Mart it was her "very own pumpkin"). Kam picked out a spider on a witches hat to carve (I carved it... and then Kam broke the spider off - which is why Addi is holding the spider in place). Addi picked out a Brown Recluse and did some of the poking & carving then I finished up because her hand got tired. I did the bat one and Addi picked out the Mummy guy for Jake to do - it was kind of fun because Jake doesn't ever remember carving pumpkins so it was a first for him as well. :)
Staheli Farms
We took the kids to Staheli Farms on Saturday while Jadyn was in town for fall recess. They went to the pirate ship first (which was also a wooden maze), then we rode the tractor over to the cornfield where we went through the corn maze. We didn't actually make it through the corn maze because our leaders (Addi & Jadyn) have a terrible sense of direction and after going in MANY circles we exited out of the entrance. :) After the corn maze we got a snack and drinks and let the smaller kids play in the play house while the older kids explored. They went down the "Corn Chute" (they slide down the pipes into the corn). Addi did the "Redneck Trampoline" which was a rope swing over mattresses. They did the duck race where they pumped water out of old spickets to get the ducks to go from one end to the other. They also had a petting zoo, and a big air trampoline that they kids did NOT want to get off of. Addi danced on stage with a few other kids and absolutely LOVED every second of it. Addi & Kam rode the horses while the other kids played and then Addi, Kam, Justin & Kaylee went on the train ride. It was extremely warm (for October anyways) so by the time we did ALL of that we were ready to go home. (The adults more than the kids) we decided next year we will probably go later in the evening so it's not quite as hot but we still had a lot of fun!

Jadyn's Soccer Game
Yesterday we went up to Tooele to watch Jadyn's last soccer game of the season. We had a long fun trip up there and back and Jadyn's team won! We got to watch her score a goal (Pictures 5, 6 & 7) and her team kicked butt. :) WTG Jadyn we're proud of you! After the game we had lunch with Garrett, Linda, Greg & Travis and then we stopped at a new store in Sandy called Scheel's. It has a gigantic Ferris Wheel in it and it was CRAZY busy in there - so busy we decided not to wait in the extremely long line for the Ferris Wheel or even go up to the second floor because it was too crowded. Hopefully next time we go there it won't be so insane because that place is way fun.
Parowan High School Cheer Camp
Addi went to Parowan High School's cheer camp all last week. They got to learn the high school cheers and a dance that they performed at the homecoming game & at half time. She had a lot of fun doing this with all of her friends - she definitely LOVES cheerleading! Her favorite thing was doing a cartwheel across the field at half time - the worst thing about it... it was FREEZING! By the time we ran out of there none of us could feel our feet, hands, faces etc. Parowan played South Seveir and by half time they were down 20 to 2... not sure how the rest of the game played out but I'm going to assume it wasn't good, but at least we had fun watching our little cheerleader!

Hunting Season
It's that time of year again - Hunting Season! Around our house this means a few things:
1. Jake is NEVER home :)
2. Cooler weather - Jackets, Pants & the Heater
3. The holiday's start to blur together - Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Years
Time seriously goes by SOOOOO fast at this point in the year - anyways, Jake got a good sized buck this year which means a freezer full of meat! Kambri was so excited to see the deer and wanted her picture taken with it until she got up next to it.... then she didn't want to be close to it or touch it. (What a girl! ;) ) Addi of course wanted to hold it... poke it, hang out with etc. so she didn't mind pictures with it at all. She was so proud of the deer when I told her about it she said "Bullseye! My dad is AWESOME!"
