Mountain Get-A-Way

Yesterday was a fun/busy day! :) We got up semi-early & went down to the park for Soccer pictures. It was sooooooo WINDY!! We ended up waiting for an hour for the entire team to show up (a few people forgot!) but they turned out cute! (Or at least I hope they do!) After we got done we went to the store to pick up some stuff for dinner that night, then we came home & got ready to head up the mountain. Addi has been asking my dad for quite a while now to take her hunting... well he's been busy working & what not lately that he hasn't had a chance to go. Well he had some free time & so guess what... he was sweet & took us all up!! :) We got a load of wood then got ready to go look for that buck! While my dad was getting his bow ready she decided she was going to put his backpack on... it was hilarious she had to lay down on the ground and strap herself in because it was too heavy for her! Then after she was strapped in I had to help her up... when she stood up the backpack was pretty much all the way down to her boots so cute! Then we were off...... Let me tell you getting a 4 year old to be "Quiet" in the woods is a very.... interesting task! She tried really hard & did surprisingly well considering. We did get to see a doe in the trees but nothing other than that! On our way back we heard a giant "CRACK" and we all stopped to see what it was we turned and there was another hunter not too far from where we were. When we got back to the road my dad looked at me & said "I bet he was "hunting" us ha ha he probably thought we were a heard of something moving through the trees!" :) Poor guy ha ha not deer/elk just 2 adults & a small child! Made for a funny story though!

The horny toads my dad caught... Rhino & Stacia :)

5 Months!

Well here I am.... late as ALWAYS!! :) Kambri turned 5 months on the 20th... crazy I know in just a few weeks she'll be half a year! WHERE DOES THE TIME GO???? :) Well she's been very, very vocal lately - I guess with me as her mother & Addi as her sister there is no way I was going to get a quiet child! :) She's discovered her toes & how to eat them.... love it! Addi was never really a foot baby so this has been new for me! She has been sitting up pretty well on her own... she has the little spasms still and face plants it alot but her balance is alot better! :) She has started getting up on her knees.... she looks to be scooting pretty soon... if you leave her on the floor she definitely does not stay in one spot! Anywho... here are some updated pictures of her :) I know the first flower is gigantic I didn't realize how big it was when I bought it until I put it on her!

Washington County Fair

We headed down to St George Saturday after Addi's soccer game to go to the Washington Co Fair. It was a lot of fun the Derby was completely sold out so me, mom & Addi had to hold down the fort & save seats in the stadium while we waited for everyone to get there. They did some new stuff in the derby this year they did a truck derby which was awesome.... I personally think it was better than the cars. We saw a guy tip on his side... another guy got his wheel completely taken off... and the "Turd" well the turd caught on fire! HA HA HA :) they also did the van jump.... they took an astro van (see below) and jumped it THROUGH a gutted out Winnebago.... it was HILARIOUS! :) After the derby was over (well mostly.... we had the kids) we took the kids to the carnival & they got to ride a few rides, I also talked Shari into going on the Orbiter with me.... it was a BLAST! I miss doing things like that... I haven't been to the carnival in a few years so it was good to go again!

1st Soccer Game

Addi had her very first game on Saturday & she did awesome. She's very aggressive - which I was quite shocked for her age & what not but I can honestly say she was more aggressive than any of the other girls out there. She didn't score any goals .... I don't think she quite gets that concept yet but she kicked the ball a lot! :) It was a lot of fun watching her play & she loved it!

Clogging!

Addi started clogging last week.... and Oh my gosh did she have fun! I am so excited - she caught on pretty quick but I've been practicing with her so she'll be up to par (alot of the girls have taken it before). She is going to get to do so many fun things - I bet she'll be hooked for life! Ha ha... ok maybe not that long :) her first performance is in the Labor Day parade in Parowan. She also gets to perform in Nationals at Lagoon & at the end of the year she performs in Disneyland/California Adventure. I'm way excited for her & of course this means vacations for us!! :)

Addi's New Blanket

Addi loved the blanket I made for Kambri soooo much and she didn't think it was fair that she didn't have one.... so I decided to go ahead and make her one too. I made her one before she was born but that was before I really knew what I was doing... and it kind of looks like crap in comparison! So I set off to find something she would love - I found the perfect color of yarn & decided exactly what I was going to do! She loves pink so much that I decided to do hot pink & black - I think it turned out pretty good & it only took me a month to finish! Thank heavens for the recent road trip to Moab or else I would still be working on it!

Family :)

Before we left Moab on Sunday we stopped at Uncle Steve & Aunt Michelle's house. It was really good to visit with them & see the boys - Tanner & Justin were attached at the hip - they were hilarious! My gramma's car had a light that came on so my dad & Steve jumped in to check it out - they cracked me up they sat in there for a while and read the manual :) Aunt Helen & Gramma stopped for a while it was really good to see them too. I love spending time with family! :)
