Dad's Birthday/Family Pictures

Saturday we all went down to St George to get family pictures taken and have a big family dinner while Jadyn was in town for my dad's birthday. We went to the Jacob Hamblin home to get the pictures taken and while it was a rainy day I think the pictures will turn out great. We were able to take a few with my Grandma Jeri and a few with Randy so I'm excited to see how they all turned out! After we got done with pictures and a tour of the home we went to Golden Corral for dinner (Grandpa Merald's favorite place!) it was a lot of fun getting everyone together! My dad got a new pistol for his birthday and obviously as you can see below he is VERY excited about it :) thanks for having a birthday dad!

Basketball Season

I was so excited when I got the letter in school back in November that Parowan Rec would be having basketball for the 1st and 2nd graders! Addi has always wanted to play basketball but I didn't know of anywhere that she could play until she was older. We have been so lucky to live where we live because their City Rec includes all ages and it's so good to start kids with the basic fundamentals this young! She is still learning alot since it's her first year and games are very comical to watch. She is starting to get better and dribbling and loves passing the ball in from out of bounds - but she has a habit of skipping and dancing in the middle of the court instead of running. :) She's only played 2 games so far and I don't think it will be long before she gets aggressive and really gets into the game!

12 Week Bumpdate

How far along?  12 Weeks
Maternity clothes? Yep for the most part!
Sleep? Always tired but I don't sleep very well anymore
Best moment in the past 4 weeks? I know this is baby unrelated but.... Seeing Gary Allan! Man he is incredible :)

Movement? Flutters still... but that's all so far :) In a few weeks I should be feeling a lot more!

Food cravings? Salad, Milk, Cheese, Yogurt, Cottage Cheese.... lots of dairy. (That's exactly what I craved with Addi!)

Aversions? Chicken still doesn't taste the same but nothing I truly avoid right now

Symptoms? Headaches, Backaches & Exhaustion

Gender? I'm still thinking girl just a gut feeling

Labor signs? Nope

Belly button in/out? In

What I miss: Normal clothes, more patience & not having to worry about if things are too "strenuous" or not!

What I am looking forward to: Ultrasound in February... oh and Spring I'm tired of it being in the Negatives 24/7.

Milestones: Hit 12 weeks starting the decent into the "safe zone" it's also the last week of the 1st trimester! Crazy how fast that went!!

Definitely starting to poke out a little bit but not too much... just depends on the day! :) Baby is definitely growing though!

(Yes I know I am currently posting this at 13 weeks.... I had it written up previously but my photo's have not been wanting to upload so I had to go a different route and it took me a few days to figure it out.)

Anniversary Weekend

Back in October we found out Gary Allan was going to be playing in Wendover the weekend of our anniversary. We decided that it would be a nice getaway and something new & fun for us to do since neither of us have ever been there! We drove up to Salt Lake on Friday after Addi got out of school and got caught in a terrible snow storm as soon as we hit Provo/Orem area. Luckily we didn't have to drive too far, we stayed at the Hilton on Temple and it was an AWESOME motel I highly recommend it! After we got settled into the room and freshened up we headed across the street to eat at the Maccaroni Grill for dinner. We had way good service and of course good food and it was such a nice, romantic dinner! Saturday morning we got ready and headed to breakfast & to find a Target for a little shopping I had to get done. Then we were on our way.... not quite knowing what to expect of Wendover but thinking it was going to be very similar to Mesquite. Well since we got there early we hung out in the room for a while watched some TV and just relaxed before we started getting ready for dinner before the concert. We had a nice dinner at a restaurant in the Casino where we were staying and then headed off to the concert. We didn't realize that the concert hall was ONLY that and they didn't open their doors until exactly 1 hour before the concert started so we had the shuttle drop us off at another casino where we sat and watched the Championship Football game on the big screen. The casino's in Wendover don't have nearly the ventalation system that we are accustomed to in Vegas so I was sick to my stomach from all of the smoke... needless to say we were excited when it was time for us to go! We got to the concert hall and I was very excited about our seats we had front row seats right behind the floor section so basically we were 5 rows from the stage! Gary Allan was fighting the flu so we were worried he wouldn't sound as good or that he would cut the concert short but that was not the case. He was INCREDIBLE he is such a down to earth person with an amazing voice and he performed  his whole set plus an encore for a sold out crowd. I will definitely see him again if he is close... but I probably won't go back to Wendover for any other concerts :) Jake & I decided we could wait to go... well anywhere else! But it was a fun experience for us to have together and all in all it was the perfect anniversary weekend!
