My Aunt Katy & Layla flew in this last week for Trenton's graduation so we decided to round up all the great-grandkids (minus Jadyn) to get their pictures taken with Gramma & Grandpa since we don't get to see Layla very often. My grandparents are going to sell their house sometime in the next couple of years so we really wanted to do their pictures at their house because we all have such good memories there! These pictures aren't necessarily the best but let me tell you it is pretty dang hard to get 7 kids and an antsy grandpa to all focus on you at the same time! We did get some good pictures though and it will be a very nice keepsake to have forever! In just a few months they'll have 2 more great-grandkids to add to the mix so we'll have to get some updated pictures then! Thanks Gramma & Grandpa for being such good sports (and of course the kiddos!)

Mom's Non-Retirement Party
Well my mom finally did it! She's been wanting to Retire for the last few years so she could spend more time with her grandkids but unfortunately it just wasn't financially possible. Well since my dad started working at WECCO again they finally decided that she could do it and she is beyond excited! Her sweet boss put together a luncheon for her last day and I pulled the family together so we could all celebrate and say a few nice words about my mom. It was really good to see everyone so excited and happy for her even though she will be well missed we are all glad she is doing something for once that she loves to do! Congrats mom :) we're excited for this next adventure in your life! (And we're saying it was a Non-Retirement party because she is FAR too young to "retire" haha she's just moving on!)
Year End
Well we've wrapped up another year at clogging! It goes by so fast anymore - she did excellent in her year end recital and got an award at the awards ceremony for an outstanding clogger. She also got 2 first place medals for Lagoon and was a little sad she didn't get to take the trophy home this year but there is always next year! :) We've been gearing up for her performances in Disneyland & Knott's Berry Farm and we're so excited to be headed there at the end of this week. Congrats Addi you've worked hard this year and have come such a long ways!

Nationals!
On Friday we drove up to Salt Lake for the annual Clogging Nationals Competition in Lagoon. The kids always have so much fun at this competition (of course... it's in Lagoon!!) and they always do so well! They took lots of 1st Grand Champions and 5 overall team awards - we are so proud of the girls! I'm still waiting for the final results so I know exactly which place they took for each dance but it takes a couple of days for them to upload the scores. We were able to ride about 10-12 rides before she had to compete and a lot of rides afterwards. The kids had a blast and Addi really stepped outside of her shell and rode all of the "scary" rides. She loved the Centennial Screamer - the Bat - the Colossus & even though she wasn't a HUGE fan of the Air Race she still got on it so I was very proud of her! Makes me excited for when we go to Knotts Berry Farm because I know she's going to be more adventurous which Jake is really looking forward to! All in all it was a very fun weekend with the family - thanks mom for all of the help and thanks Shari & Karen for coming and supporting her she loved having everyone there!
Mother's Day
Yesterday was Mother's Day and I can honestly say I'm very spoiled! Jake bought me beautiful flowers got me a gift certificate to get a Mani/Pedi and one to get my hair done! Addi and Kam worked really hard on a handmade card that folds up like a t-shirt. :) It's hard to believe that next Mother's Day I will be a mommy to 3 instead of 2! And it's also hard to believe that this was my 6th almost 7th Mother's Day since becoming a mom... and I am so grateful for my gorgeous little Addi, my spunky little Kam & Baby A!
My mom is seriously the best mom in the world - I have no idea what I would do without her! She is such an incredible example to me - she has shown me how to be a good wife, mother, daughter, sibling & friend because she is all of the above and so much more. She is always so thoughtful and caring and always puts everyone's needs above her own - I can only hope that I am/will become half the woman she is! I love you mom thanks for always being my example, my rock, my guider and most of all my best friend!
T-Ball Season
I've really been slacking lately - mostly because of how tired I've been! Addi started T-Ball a few weeks ago and only has 3 games left! I can't believe her season came and went just like that. She has been doing excellent this year and is by far one of the better hitters on her team. She can get the ball all the way into the grass which is pretty impressive for T-Ball and a kid her age! She has also got the conecpt of tagging down and loves to chase the other kids with the ball (of course). Her favorite position to play is catcher becuase in T-Ball she feels it's the only "outfield" position that isn't boring... she has a lot of fun doing it! Hopefully she gets to play coach pitch/machine pitch next year because she is getting a little bored with T-Ball! :)
