Last week we had a blast - we went to Park City for a couple of days & were able to steal Jakayla & Jadyn while we were up there. It was sooooo good to see them! Seeing them every 6 months has definitely been a challenge but we're grateful for any time we get with them! Me, Shari & my Mom went up Wednesday with the kids & stayed at this place between Park City & Heber called "The Stillwater Lodge". It's a beautiful place with lots of room - if you ever are looking for a bedroom/kitchenette place that's the place to go! We stopped in Lehi on the way up to see where Matt & my dad were drilling before we headed to the Lodge. Then on Thursday morning my mom ran down to Sugarhouse & picked up the girls. After a round of hugs & lots of "Which baby is that?" :) we headed off to the Heber Valley Railroad. The "Heber Creeper" was fun - not something I would do ALL the time - but I definitely would suggest everyone go at least once! We sat in the open car on the train - we had PERFECT weather & it was absolutely beautiful scenery. Of course there was a train robbery - horses & bugs! :) At the end of the trip we were able to stop at a little park "Vivian Park" for about 20-30 minutes. The kids played on the play structure & we took some pictures down by the river (didn't turn out very well the lighting sucked!!) After the train ride we went back to the room to clean up & Matt & my dad were able to get off work a tad early & come down. So, we waited for them & headed down to Salt Lake. We went to the Gateway Mall - spent a little bit of time in the Clark Planitarium & went to the Splash Pad. The kids had so much fun getting soaked & of course Matt was drooling at the Apple store. The girls had to head back on Friday morning - & we were sad to see them go - but I'm so glad we got to spend the time with them that we did!
These are out of order.... ha ha sorry :)
