Parowan Rest Home

Kam had a dance performance at the beginning of this week at the Parowan Rest Home. This was a lot of fun for the kids because they all got to dress up! Everyone there was just gushing over how cute all of the girls looked in their outfits. Kam was a Pretty Pink Fairy Princess this year - she did so good dancing in front of everyone! :) She certainly loves to dance!

School Carnival

Addi had her school carnival the other night and it was just as fun as it always is! They have different games set up in each classroom for the kids to play and they win prizes no matter what. They had fun playing all of the games and after they got done with the classrooms we went to the gym where they had the cake walk, face painting, food and the raffle. They got to roll a dice and whatever number the dice landed on was the amount of tickets they got to put in for the raffle. Addi won a puppet which was pretty fun that she won something and she is so funny with it!

Jason Aldean

Addi has been such an excellent help as a big sister and as a daughter. I could not believe how she stepped up and took care of me while I was in labor with Aria and how good she was with Aria in the few weeks after she was born. She definitely made my recovery and life in general easier! So we decided to reward her for being such an amazing help and she got to take a trip to Vegas to see one of her very favorite country singers Jason Aldean! We headed down to Vegas mid-afternoon and went to our motel. We got ready for the concert and headed out to dinner. Jake & I always end up eating at the PBR Bar & Grill on the strip and we always would get pictures together there. Well Addi keeps one of these pictures next to her bed and she wanted us to take her to that restaurant so she could see where we always go. She had so much fun watching everyone ride the bull at the restaurant! After we got done with dinner we headed to the Bellagio to watch the water show before the concert started - she loved every minute of that and apparently Jake & I must never get sick of it either because we watch it every time we go to Vegas. :) After the water show was over we walked over to the MGM to go to the concert - Jason Aldean was touring with Jake Owen & Thomas Rhett. Thomas Rhett only performed 2 songs and then Jake Owen came on. I can honestly say I actually enjoyed his portion of the concert better than Jason Aldean's - he is incredibly talented. Addi fell asleep about 20 minutes before the concert ended because it was WAY past her bed time - she didn't complain at all about walking back to the Motel but was very happy to go to sleep in the bed! We are so blessed to have such an amazing little girl and I love making memories with her.

Pumpkin Carving

We carved pumpkins a little early this year so we could do it before Jake left for the hunts. So by yesterday our pumpkins were looking VERY, VERY sad but it's ok we had a lot of fun doing this. Addi & Kam carved 2 pumpkins this year and the rest of us did 1 a piece so we had 7 pumpkins total. Addi tried following the paper cut out the first time it was a hand coming out of a grave... it didn't work out so well and I helped her at the end but by the next day you couldn't tell what it was... so with her 2nd pumpkin she just free-handed it. Kam just stabbed lots of little holes in all of the pumpkins so I had to free-hand whatever picture she had picked out on both pumpkins. (Harder than it looks with 10 million holes to throw you off....) So that is why her witch looks a little bizarre & her Kitty with the Pumpkin's eyes are a little crazy. Aria had fun watching everyone make fun of everyone else's pumpkins and Kam picked out which picture her pumpkin got to be (Her's is the Owl swooping in on the pumpkin). Jake of course had to do something random so he ended up with a Motley Crue pumpkin. :) Kam wanted me to do the flying Gargoyle so that's what I ended up with. We always have so much fun carving pumpkins as a family I'm glad it's a tradition!

Fun With Cousins

While the kids were on their UEA break for school we decided to get all of the kids together to do some fun "fall" festivities. We decided we would let them make caramel apples. This was very sticky... but they had a lot of fun! They actually got started while I was in a meeting so I just caught the tail end of them putting the finishing touches on their master pieces. I think more candy got consumed than was actually on the apples and the kids were being so silly! :)
