Kambri Turns 3!

3 years ago today I gave birth to a spunky, sweet little fireball. She sure makes life fun, interesting and full of adventure. This little girl loves horses, dirt, junk food, movies, drives, grandma & grandpa, cousins & above all her big sister. She is now 3'9" wears a 4T, talks like a teenager and is VERY independent. She starts soccer next month and will be starting dance this summer & preschool in the fall. I cannot believe how fast time has gone for this little beauty - she never ceases to amaze me with her wit, humor and her temper. She can make anyone laugh and lights up the entire room with her gigantic personality - she has a way of making people love her no matter who they are, how old they are or where we are, she has a love of people and it reflects in the amount of friends she has made in her short 3 years of life.

We love you Kam keep that strong willed spirit and independence forever - you are going to go far in life!

Surprise!!

Well yesterday was THE day - the long awaited, re-scheduled ultrasound finally came. The Ultrasound tech (whose name was ironically Callie...) asked me if we were going to find out the gender today. I told her that at my last ultrasound Dr Sanders had told me that he was 90% certain it was a boy, but I wanted her to double check to make sure before I went crazy buying things. Well after a few minutes of trying to get the baby to cooperate and uncross it's legs, she asked me "How much have you bought for this baby boy?" I said not a lot and I kept tags on everything and the receipts just in case. She said well good because it is not in fact a boy.... it's looking very much like a beautiful little girl! What is funny is no one in the room besides Addi was shocked by this revelation. Addi immediately started to cry which in turn made me cry.... she wanted a baby brother so bad. While I know she will love her little sister just the same it was devastating to her to have thought for the last 5 weeks that it was a boy and it turned out to be a girl. We are all still VERY excited and even after Dr Sanders told me it was a boy I wasn't thoroughly convinced. We had a girls name picked out before a boys' and we thought it was a girl all along.

The main thing is she is happy and healthy - she has 2 hands, 2 feet, a working brain, heart & bladder. She is the right size and we are going to be so excited to welcome her into the world this coming July.

The pictures didn't turn out so great so I am going to get a 3D/4D ultrasound done possibly this weekend because we didn't even get a good profile shot of her. :)

Disney on Ice

This past weekend we took the kids to see Disney on Ice in Salt Lake.
We had a huge snowstorm on our way up and passed about 7 or 8 wrecks and they had blocked up the freeway just before the I-70 Junction. So it took us a little while to get up there but luckily we had left early just in case we needed to drive slow we had spare time.

When we finally got there we found a mall that had a Crazy 8 store because they were having a big sale and we had a good coupon for it. Kam had fun trying on Hats & Sunglasses - Addi had fun trying on shoes. (They aren't girls at all.....) After we got some cute summer clothes and accessories we headed off to find a Babies R Us so I could pick up a couple of pairs of maternity jeans that I found in Vegas that I love. Well we quickly found out most Babies R Us' don't carry Maternity clothes... must've been a fluke I found the one that I did! So after calling 3 different stores and stopping at 1 Babies R Us and 1 Toys R Us (that claimed they had maternity clothes) we were S.O.L.

After we got done shopping we headed to the motel to check in and freshen up before we headed to dinner and the show. The kids had fun riding the luggage cart and finding the pool. :) After we got hair fixed and make up done we headed off to find a place to eat dinner. We ate at a place called.... "Crowns Burgers" or something like that because it was right down the road from Energy Solutions. The kids were so excited they didn't eat a ton but they had fun seeing all of the girls that were dressed up in their Princess outfits getting ready to go to Disney on Ice as well.

After we ate we headed over to the show where we realized their system with the "Flash Tickets" was going to be an issue for us. The way Flash Tickets work is when you get to the place you give them the credit card you used to pay for the tickets and they print them out and let you in. Well the card that my mom had used had gotten fraud charges on it after we bought the tickets and they had to cancel it... so we had to go wait in the "Ticket Problems" line and figure out a way to get the tickets anyways. Luckily they were pretty used to that sort of thing so it didn't take a long time for us to get them and get where we needed to be! :)

They had an absolute blast and the show was definitely a lot of fun to watch. The kids loved the "Tangled" scene the best of course - especially when Maximus (the horse) came out on skates! They all enjoyed their snow cones Grandma got them and we were ALL sticky by the time we left there. Kambri said her favorite princess to see was Cinderella and Addi's of course was Rapunzel. But ALL of the kids screamed when Ariel came out :) this was definitely a fun show to see and we're already mapping out the next one that has Cars

We had quite an adventure finding a Target after the show so we could buy the kids some floaties to use as air mattresses for the night. VZ Navigator kept taking us downtown to the Wells Fargo building and after making a few circles I finally typed in WalMart and it took us to Target. :) We went in with 2 minutes to closing and rushed off to get what we needed before they closed. Then after we got done there the kids decided they were all hungry so we made a pit stop at McDonald's at 10:30 at night. The things we do to make kids happy!

Thanks Mom for the fun-filled weekend!!

19 Week Bump Post - Halfway Mark!!

How far along? 19 Weeks 1 Day
Maternity clothes? Yep

Sleep? Not too terrible when I don't have heartburn
Best moment in the past 4 weeks? Feeling baby T kick Addi in the head for the first time :) many more of those times ahead of us. Hahahaha

Movement? Flutters/Rolls & a few really good kicks hopefully Jake can feel it soon he hasn't been home when the baby has been really awake!

Food cravings? All Dairy, Apples & Salad

Aversions? None this week but last week I couldn't stand pretty much anything due to a major sinus infection/ear infection. All I wanted was really SALTY foods.

Symptoms? Backaches, Fatigue & Heartburn

Gender? Still pretty certain it's a boy - we had to reschedule the ultrasound for next Tuesday due to Jake being out of town for work.... and I am getting soooo impatient!!! 5 more days!

Labor signs? Nope

Belly button in/out? In

What I miss: Not being so exhausted by the end of the day I can't think of doing anything besides sleeping..... Also regular clothes and not having a stomach getting in the way of doing a simple task like putting on shoes & socks.

What I am looking forward to: Taking the girls to Disney on Ice this weekend, My Ultrasound on Tuesday, My Birthday next Sunday & Kambri is going to be 3 in exactly 12 days.... crazy how time flies!

Milestones: I am at the halfway mark!!! (I know I'm not 20 weeks but since the baby will come at least a week early this is the halfway point for me!) Feeling major kicks from the inside & out - Addi getting to feel baby T for the first time & finally feeling pretty normal for the first time since we found out!

I know this isn't the greatest picture... but here is baby T at the halfway mark!!

Jr Drill

Addi performed last night at the Rammette review doing her Jr Drill routine that she learned last week. I was so impressed by these girls and what they accomplished for going to class an hour a day for just a couple of days. And on top of that not having a refresher before they performed and having the whole weekend off!! The video I'm posting is of Addi's group they are all Kindergarten - 1st Graders so no one over the age of 7 is performing. I think that the future dance team of this highschool has a real good shot of winning a lot of competitions with these girls coming up! :)

My blog is not cooperating in just embedding the video on here so if you want to watch it go check it out :) it's really cute!
