We had a lot of fun on Pioneer Day this year - Addi was in the parade again and although she was dead tired she had a lot of fun, and as you can see below had a very cheesy grin! After she was done at the parade she danced in the park and then after having some down time at home we headed to New Harmony for their Pioneer Day celebration. It was in a local homeowners private arena and it was AMAZING! They had good food and fun games for all ages. Addi did the "Shoe Race" where they put everyones shoes in a barrel took them to the end of the arena and spread them out, then the kids ran down to the shoes had to put their own back on and run back. Addi was the first girl across the finish line and she was so proud! She also did the "Bunny Catch" where the had a circle of hay bales and they let 3 bunnies go in the middle and the kids had to catch them. Addi didn't catch one luckily because their prize was the bunny... and we're not a bunny equipped house here! Matt did the "Steer Sticker Chase" where they glued stickers all over a couple of steers and all the guys (18 & older) were chasing the steers trying to get the stickers off. This was hilarious to watch because there was alot of falling going on... and one poor guy slid through a cow pie! I'm glad Matt & Shari invited us to that because it was so much fun, Addi could've stayed there forever had we let her!
